The Impact You’ll Make As a Product Design Intern at Nextdoor you’ll begin making a difference by contributing to the design of our digital products within your first two weeks. From crafting wireframes to creating prototypes, you’ll immerse yourself in every phase of the design process under the guidance of a mentor. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineers, and researchers, to deliver solutions that enhance the user experience. During your 12-week internship, you’ll participate in user research, usability testing, and design iterations to solve real-world problems. By contributing to our design systems and brainstorming innovative product features, you’ll leave a lasting impact on the team and our neighborhood community. Our paid internships are typically 12 weeks, based out of Dallas. What You’ll Bring to the Team Currently pursuing an education in a design, human-computer interaction, or a related field; graduating between Fall 2026 through Summer 2027 Familiarity with design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD Strong attention to detail and the ability to create visually compelling designs A passion for solving user problems and enhancing user experiences Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously A strong alignment with Nextdoor’s mission and purpose Eagerness to explore and apply AI and emerging technologies to reimagine how work gets done Roles and Responsibilities Assist in designing brand and marketing assets across digital, social, and campaign platforms Support the creation and extension of Nextdoor’s visual identity, including helping to build out template systems for internal and external use Collaborate with designers, marketers, and cross-functional partners to develop cohesive brand experiences Help prepare production-ready files and ensure brand consistency across deliverables Support the team in maintaining and evolving our brand system and visual toolkit Participate in in-person Nextdoor events such as trainings, off-sites, volunteer days, and team building exercises Build in-person relationships with team members and contribute to Nextdoor’s company culture Perks Benefits Housing stipend so you can spend your summer with us in Dallas Access to benefits (including mental health benefits, commuter benefits, wellness benefits, etc) Stocked micro-kitchens and ...
