Backend Software Engineer – Senior (Remote) Python | FastAPI | AWS | TypeScript We’re looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer who can take ownership of backend architectures, lead technical decisions, and ensure high-quality delivery across customer projects. This is a hands-on senior role, ideal for engineers who care deeply about API design, cloud architecture, and engineering standards. What you’ll do Own the design and implementation of backend services and APIs Apply strong API design principles (REST, versioning, backward compatibility) Translate customer requirements into robust technical solutions Ensure high standards for testing, code quality, and documentation Take responsibility for technical delivery and outcomes Design and work with AWS cloud-native architectures Define and manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code Improve and contribute to CI/CD pipelines Promote best engineering practices in an Agile consultancy context What we’re looking for 6+ years of professional software development experience Strong expertise in Python Extensive hands-on experience with FastAPI Deep understanding of API design and architecture Working knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript Strong experience with AWS Strong Git and collaborative workflow experience Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code Solid understanding of CI/CD Proven experience working directly with customers Excellent English communication skills Nice to have Consultancy background Multi-project or multi-domain experience Docker/container basics Strong sense of ownership AWS certification Salary & Benefits Permanent contract Full remote MacBook Pro International environment Meal vouchers (Ticket Restaurant)
