The Opportunity at Altana We are looking for a Business Development Representative to join our growing team. You will seek new business opportunities by contacting and developing relationships with potential customers. If you are motivated and results-driven, we want to talk with you. As a BDR, you will identify potential customers, generate new business opportunities, and manage leads through the sales pipeline. You will work closely with the sales and marketing teams to meet our company's goals. We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a strong work ethic, and a proven track record of sales success. You Will Prospect into strategic business accounts via cold call, email and social strategies Drive sales growth and pipeline through setting up qualified meetings for Account Executives Qualify inbound leads from trade shows, demo requests, and MQL’s Maintain and organize an annual book of business Be a subject matter expert and evangelist of the Altana platform Produce creative strategies for targeting decision-makers at prospect accounts in order to book sales appointments and influence company revenue About You 1+ years of experience in sales or client-facing role Excellent communication and negotiation skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Strong ability to work with ambiguity and test out new strategies Ability to build and maintain relationships with potential clients Strong problem-solving and negotiation skills Time management and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Flexibility and adaptability to change A desire to learn and grow in the sales field Experience with Salesforce, LinkedIn and prospecting tools is a plus This role is based in Brooklyn, NY, USA with hybrid work flexibility and candidates must be within commuting distance from our Williamsburg office. US Salary Range and Benefits $70,000 - $80,000 USD The salary range, to the extent specified for this role, is a good faith statement of the minimum and maximum levels of the annual based salary for the position. The base salary offered to a successful candidate will depend on a wide range of compensation factors, including, but not limited to, work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations. Competitive equity grants are included in the majority of full time offers; and are considered part of Altana's total compensation package. Altana also offers either a discretionary bonus or a variable compensation plan depending on the role.
