ABOUT THE ROLE Polymarket is building next-generation event market infrastructure with a focus on trust, transparency, and market integrity. We're hiring a Trade Surveillance Analyst to help monitor trading activity, investigate suspicious behavior, and strengthen our exchange surveillance program. WHAT YOU'LL DO - Monitor trading activity across event markets in real time and through post-trade reviews to identify potential market abuse - Use surveillance tools and dashboards to detect anomalies, flag risk, and escalate concerns - Investigate alerts and unusual trading patterns (e.g., wash trading, manipulative order behavior) - Clearly document surveillance reviews and support internal escalations as needed - Support the enforcement of KYC/AML procedures and transaction monitoring - Partner closely with Legal, Risk, and Technology teams to improve surveillance systems and compliance workflows WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR - Strong analytical skills and exceptional attention to detail - High integrity, strong communication, and sound judgment under pressure - Comfort working with trading data and identifying behavioral patterns - Willingness to work overnight shifts and weekends - Familiarity with futures, event markets, and trading concepts NICE TO HAVES - Experience in compliance, risk, investigations, or exchange operations - Proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets (SQL or Python is a plus) - Familiarity with trade surveillance platforms - Experience at a proprietary trading firm, Futures Commission Merchant, or broker-dealer BENEFITS - Competitive salary & equity - Unlimited PTO, Health, Vision, & Dental coverage - 401k match - Hardware setup — new MacBook Pro, big display, & accessories
