Software Engineer
Wild Life StudiosSão PauloPosted 26 March 2026
Job Description
We're looking for a hardworking and passionate Software Engineer to join Wildlife's Live Games Tech Team in São Paulo.
Some engineers spend years waiting to own something that really matters. At Wildlife, that starts on day one. Our Live Games Tech Team is responsible for titles with millions of active daily players - and every engineer here has real, end-to-end ownership of the systems they touch: from design and implementation to deployment, post-release monitoring, and continuous improvement. No waiting for someone else to review, approve, or fix. If it's yours, it's yours.
Our stack spans Unity/C# on the client, Go on the backend, and AWS with Kubernetes for infrastructure. The scale is real - and so is the autonomy.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Own the development and maintenance of live game features used by millions of active players daily.
Design, implement, and test business logic across the mobile app and backend services.
Ship new versions to production and stay hands-on post-release: monitoring metrics, reading player signals, and acting fast when something's off.
Contribute to the game's observability stack: set up and maintain monitoring and alerting systems that give the team real visibility into production health.
Investigate and resolve technical issues autonomously, navigating complex codebases end-to-end.
Identify and drive improvements that make the codebase more maintainable, scalable, and easier to evolve.
Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and design to bring features from idea to production.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Solid experience as a software developer, with production systems or apps published on iOS or Android.
Strong fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, concurrency, and a clear understanding of systems in production.
Experience with monitoring, metrics, and observability in live environments.
Working proficiency in English (documentation and some meetings are in English).
NICE TO HAVE
Experience with Unity and C# for mobile development.
Experience with Go or Node.js and Kubernetes-based backend systems.
Hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure.
Experience with C++, Objective-C, or Java for Android development.
Experience acting as a technical reference for junior colleagues.
MORE ABOUT YOU
You don't need a ticket assigned to know what to work on next. You look at a system, understand how it fits into the bigger picture, and move — with autonomy, with urgency, and with care for the long term. The idea of your code running on millions of devices isn't abstract to you; it's motivating. You're comfortable navigating large codebases you didn't write, and you know when to move fast and when to invest in quality. You communicate clearly, raise blockers early, and care about the product beyond your own tasks.
