Job Description
We're looking for a hardworking and passionate Senior Software Engineer to join Wildlife's Live Games Tech Team in São Paulo.
At Wildlife, senior engineers don't just execute — they own. Our Live Games Tech Team operates with end-to-end accountability across some of our most-played titles, with millions of daily active players worldwide. You'll make architectural decisions, lead technical initiatives, define how the team operates in production, and mentor the engineers around you — all without layers of approval slowing you down. The scope is large. The autonomy is real. And the scale means your decisions have immediate, measurable impact on a product that millions of people play every day.
Our stack spans Unity/C# on the client, Go on the backend, and AWS with Kubernetes for infrastructure.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead the design and implementation of complex features across mobile client and backend services, making sound architectural trade-offs.
Own technical decisions for your area — architecture, performance, scalability, long-term maintainability — and be accountable for the outcomes.
Ship new versions to production and take full ownership of post-release behavior: monitoring, reading signals, and iterating fast.
Define and evolve the team's observability practices: SLIs, alerting, dashboards, and incident response processes.
Proactively identify and drive improvements across the codebase: performance, scalability, and engineering quality.
Mentor and coach more junior engineers through code reviews, technical discussions, and pair programming.
Shape the technical direction of features in collaboration with product and design from their earliest stages.
Translate technical complexity into clear, timely communication for the team and stakeholders.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Solid experience as a software developer, with production systems at scale.
Strong background in software architecture and system design for production environments.
Experience with monitoring, observability, and incident response in live systems.
Demonstrated ability to lead technical initiatives and mentor junior engineers.
Working proficiency in English.
NICE TO HAVE
Experience with Unity/C# for mobile development.
Experience with Go and Kubernetes-based backend systems.
Experience with AWS infrastructure.
Background in the gaming industry or other high-traffic consumer products.
MORE ABOUT YOU
You've shipped things that live in production, and you understand what real ownership means. You make architectural decisions with confidence — and you can explain the 'why' to engineers, product, and leadership without losing the room. You raise the technical bar for the people around you, not as overhead, but as a natural consequence of how you work. You think in systems. You don't wait for the perfect spec. And when something breaks in production, you're the one people want to have already been thinking about it.
