ABOUT THE TEAM AND HOW WE WORK: Building the OS for the built world is no small feat. We’ll need to ship a LOT of high quality code in the coming years, and to do so, we’re building an engineering culture centered around craft, ownership, and collaboration. >25% of our engineers and product managers are ex-founders, and we hire for slope, not intercept. Being a place where you can just build things requires talent density and some unique ways of doing things. WHAT YOU'LL DO: - Define and drive the technical vision and architecture for Miter’s core systems and product lines. - Lead cross-team initiatives to tackle our most difficult and ambiguous engineering challenges. - Actively find new ways to elevate the engineering organization through mentorship, design reviews, and other tooling/process improvements. WHAT YOU'LL NEED: - 8+ years of software engineering experience, including technical leadership experience in roles. - Deep expertise in system architecture, reliability, and maintainability. - Curiosity to explore emerging technologies and push technical boundaries in line with business needs. - Proven ability to influence technical direction across multiple teams and products. - Ability to lead with humility while driving consensus and high standards.
