So what do you say, are you in? 📍Your Impact Starts HereWe’re looking for a Staff Product Manager, Platform to partner closely with engineering leadership and help shape the core platform that underpins Homebase as we scale. This role is critical to our ability to grow securely, reliably, and quickly.You’ll own foundational domains including authentication, authorization, identity, and core business platform capabilities, ensuring they are resilient, extensible, high quality. This is a highly technical PM role—ideal for someone who loves working at the intersection of product, engineering, and security, and who thrives in ambiguity while building for the long term.These are the key ways you’ll contribute and create impact in this role:Co-own the platform roadmap in close partnership with engineering leadership for authentication, authorization, identity, and shared business capabilities, balancing immediate needs with long-term scale, security, and developer velocityPartner with Engineering and leadership to help define platform strategy, direction, and roadmap Collaborating closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure business-critical systems scale reliably and meet company needsTranslate complex technical concepts into clear product direction, requirements, success metrics, and customer-facing experience implicationsLead cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, and Design to ensure platform decisions consider both system integrity and end-user experienceDefine and track outcomes related to reliability, security posture, developer velocity, and scalabilityPartner with Engineering to define and operationalize platform KPIs, using metrics to drive prioritization and uncover gaps in capabilities and servicesProactively identify risks, gaps, and opportunities in our platform architecture as the company grows, including build vs. buy decisions and vendor evaluations for platform capabilitiesOwn the end-to-end experience for customer-facing platform surfaces (e.g., auth flows, permissions, identity-related UX)Ensure platform experiences are intuitive, trustworthy, and aligned with Homebase’s product quality barPartner with Product Design and Research to validate platform-driven user experiencesAdvocate for customers while balancing technical constraints and long-term platform healthUse AI tools to accelerate product discovery, requirements clarity, and decision-making—and continuously improve how platform PM work gets done🚀 The Foundation for Success - These are the experiences and strengths that will set you up for success in this role:8+ years of product management experience, with significant time spent on platform, infrastructure, or highly technical product areasStrong technical background (e.g., prior engineering experience or deep technical fluency working with engineers)Hands-on experience with authentication, authorization, identity systems, or security-adjacent domains, including evaluating third-party solutions and making build vs. buy recommendationsProven ability to influence without authority and partner effectively with senior engineering leadersComfort operating in ambiguous problem spaces and defining structure where none existsDemonstrated ability to build for scale, reliability, security, and customer experience, not just internal-facing capabilitiesStrong written and verbal communication skills, especially for technical audiencesAI Fluency: Experience using AI tools to improve product workflows, analyze tradeoffs, or increase execution velocityAbility to collaborate in the office weekly ...
