An overview of this role As the Principal Product Manager for GitLab's AI-First Continuous Delivery capabilities, you'll shape the product strategy and roadmap for how teams build, release, and deploy software with confidence in the AI era. This is a founding PM role on a strategic initiative—you'll own what AI-native, enterprise-grade CD looks like, including AI agent deployment governance, compliance controls, Kubernetes and container deployments, and platform experiences that make deployment trustworthy at scale. You'll lead with a strong point of view on how modern delivery is evolving in the age of AI, translating customer problems and market insights into clear product direction that helps teams move faster while maintaining reliability and control. You'll operate with high autonomy while partnering closely with Engineering, UX, Product Design, Customer Success, and go-to-market teams to deliver meaningful outcomes for users and measurable business impact for GitLab. In your first year, you'll launch the first version of GitLab AI-First CD, establish the customer feedback loops that inform the roadmap, and partner with Sales to drive revenue outcomes—you'll own the business results of this initiative, not just the product decisions. This is the right role for a PM who thinks like a founder, thrives in ambiguity, and wants to build something that doesn't exist yet — with a real chance to define a product category. Some examples of our projects: Defining and delivering improvements to GitLab's end-to-end Continuous Delivery experience, from continuous integration through release and deployment workflows. Partnering with Engineering and go-to-market teams to translate customer needs into a roadmap, clear requirements, and successful product rollouts. What you'll do Own the product strategy and full roadmap for GitLab AI-First CD, spanning AI agent deployment governance, compliance controls in highly regulated industries, Kubernetes and container deployments, and platform-level analytics and reporting. Develop a differentiated point of view on how the CD market is evolving in the AI era through direct customer engagement, field conversations, analyst relationships, and competitive intelligence. Partner closely with Engineering, UX, Product Design, and Quality to define problems, evaluate trade-offs, deliver improvements, and guide development and testing through delivery cycles.
