It takes a diverse, multidisciplinary team to build a product at this scale - and Design plays a central role in shaping how learners and tutors experience Preply every day. This is a role with real ownership and influence: you’ll shape direction as much as execution, working through ambiguity to turn complex problems into simple, high-quality experiences. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING - Own design at a squad level, co-creating product strategy and the product roadmap with your Product Manager counterpart. - Lead design end-to-end - from understanding learner and tutor needs, to exploration, prototyping, iteration, and high-quality execution. - Design bold, thoughtful learning and growth experiences, using research, feedback, and experimentation to improve usability and outcomes. - Challenge assumptions and push beyond existing patterns, exploring what the experience could be - not just what it is today. - Partner closely with Engineering to balance ambition with practicality and deliver polished, scalable solutions. - Contribute to shared patterns, the design system, critiques, and cross-functional discussions, helping maintain coherence and raise the bar across Preply. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED - Proven experience as a Senior Product Designer on B2C products with frequent, real-world usage (ideally mobile-heavy or cross-platform). - Clear ownership of product design at a squad level, collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, and leadership to guide outcomes. - Exceptional craft and product judgment, demonstrated through shipped work. - Strong user empathy, with experience using research, data, and experimentation to inform decisions. - Experience designing or scaling AI-driven features would be a plus. - A portfolio showing senior-level ownership, craft quality, and impact.
