Basic Function: Lumin Digital is looking for a Product Designer to join our cross-functional team. In this role, you’ll collaborate across a range of product areas, contributing to important initiatives alongside senior and lead designers while taking ownership of more targeted design projects. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Contribute to a variety of product areas, supporting senior and lead designers on strategic initiativesTake ownership of smaller, scoped design projects from exploration through final execution Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers to translate ideas into wireframes, prototypes, and polished designs Participate in user research efforts and incorporate insights into your work Present your designs and clearly explain your thinking, responding thoughtfully to feedback Apply and extend our design system, contributing to consistent, high-quality experiences across the platform Perform other duties as assigned. Position Specifications Education:  Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field preferred (or equivalent practical experience) Experience: 2–4 years of relevant product design experience (in-house product company or agency environment) Experience designing digital product experiences Experience contributing to or evolving a design system (experience building one from scratch is a strong plus) Experience designing UI components, patterns, and page-level templates Experience applying user research insights and incorporating feedback into design decisions Portfolio required, showcasing real-world, shipped product work (design system contributions strongly preferred) Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Strong systems thinking and ability to create cohesive, connected experiences across products Ability to define and refine components, patterns, and structural foundations within a design system Excellent visual design craft and attention to detail Proficiency in Figma (required) Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (required) Strong collaboration and communication skills Ability to participate in research synthesis and translate insights into thoughtful design solutions Comfort working remotely and collaborating across time zones Illustration skills are a plus, particularly when applied in professional product environments Fintech experience is a plus, but not required Curiosity about leveraging AI to enhance design workflows and user experiences Travel:  Minimal, generally 12 days or less per year, ~2X team get togethers a year
