With $200M in ARR after just one year, we're scaling globally and we need a versatile tax professional who can handle everything from periodic compliance to strategic structuring. As our first Tax Manager, you'll work alongside our Head of Tax to build a robust, scalable tax function across our expanding footprint (US, UK, Sweden, and beyond).This is not a narrow specialist role. You'll be a jack-of-all-trades who can tackle corporate tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax, and tax accounting with equal confidence. One day you might be preparing tax provisions, the next you're advising on cross-border structuring or managing an audit. If you thrive in variety and want real ownership from day one, this role is for you.You should have:6–9+ years of tax experience spanning multiple disciplines (corporate tax, transfer pricing, indirect tax, tax accounting)Background in both Big 4/law firm and in-house tax roles (ideally both, though exceptional candidates with strong experience in one will be considered)Experience working with tech companies or startups—you understand the pace and complexity of high-growth, multi-jurisdictional businessesStrong understanding of US, UK, and Swedish tax environmentsThe ability to work independently and manage your own workload with minimal supervisionA keen interest in automation and leveraging AI/technology to improve tax processesProfessional qualifications (law degree, CPA, CTA, or equivalent)Excellent communication skills in English (our company language)Based in Stockholm or willing to relocateWhat You'll Do:Manage periodic tax compliance across all jurisdictions, coordinating with external advisors where neededPrepare and review tax provisions in accordance with applicable accounting standardsSupport transfer pricing documentation and intercompany arrangements as we scale globallyHandle indirect tax (VAT/GST) compliance and advisory across multiple jurisdictionsAssist with tax audits and inquiries from tax authoritiesConduct tax research on technical issues and keep current with tax law developmentsBuild scalable tax processes and leverage technology to drive efficiencyPartner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and business teams on tax implications of commercial decisionsIdentify tax structuring opportunities and risks as the business evolvesSupport the Head of Tax in developing Lovable's global tax strategyAbout your applicationPlease submit your application in English - it's our company language so you'll be speaking lots of it if you joinWe treat all candidates equally - if you're interested please apply through our careers portal
