As Trailhead evolves toward more agentic, AI-assisted learning experiences, design plays a critical role in making complex systems feel clear, human, and approachable across web, Slack, and mobile. We’re building a new team in Hyderabad to accelerate this work, and this role is a key part of that effort. We’re looking for a User Interface/User Experience Lead to drive design execution for Slack, web, and native mobile (iOS and Android) within the Trailhead ecosystem. This is a senior individual contributor role . You’ll be hands-on in Figma, owning design work end-to-end while partnering closely with product managers and engineers. While this role does not manage people, it leads design efforts for the projects and surfaces it owns and represents design in cross-functional settings. You’ll work independently with a local Hyderabad-based team, while regularly aligning with design partners in the US. This role requires strong judgment, comfort with autonomy, and the ability to confidently explain and defend design decisions. Responsibilities: Design Ownership, Systems & Craft Own end-to-end design for Trailblazer Community Slack and web experiences, Trailhead Slack surfaces, and Trailhead GO mobile apps (iOS and Android), as mobile priorities arise. Partner with PMs and engineers from discovery through delivery, shaping flows, interactions, and UI details. Translate complex requirements into clean, simple, and usable experiences that scale across platforms. Design within and across multiple design systems, including Slack patterns, iOS Human Interface Guidelines, and Android Material Design. Apply strong design system rigor, ensuring consistency, accessibility, and reuse across surfaces. Balance platform-native behavior with Trailhead’s broader experience principles. Deliver high-quality interaction design with clear information hierarchy and thoughtful motion where appropriate. Maintain a strong bar for accessibility, considering inclusive design principles in all work. Make final design decisions for the work you own, aligning with partners and resolving most issues directly as part of day-to-day delivery. Sweat the details while still moving with speed and pragmatism. Collaboration & Communication Partner with product, research, and analytics to leverage user research and data insights to inform design decisions and validate solutions. Represent design in cross-functional meetings, reviews, and ceremonies when needed. Share progress clearly through Figma files, async updates, documentation, and presentations. Regularly sync with design partners for critique, alignment, and refinement. Minimum Qualifications: Experience & Craft 7 years of experience designing and shipping real products across web and/or mobile. Proven ownership of end-to-end shipped experiences, not just isolated screens.
