The Role and Impact
As a Trade Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring Intel's Vietnam operations comply with trade laws and regulations while driving efficiency in cross-border trade activities. Your expertise will directly contribute to Intel's mission of barrier-free trade, optimized performance, and cost reduction through industry-leading Customs and Trade Facilitation programs. From managing customs brokers and supply chain partnerships to analyzing and improving processes, your contributions will be vital to our company's success. You will serve as a trusted expert, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to drive innovation, efficiency, and compliance in international trade operations.
Key Responsibilities
1.Own site's customs and trade facilitation processes, manage site customs procedures to support daily transactions (in accordance with CTF's 3 Core Discipline).
2. Support BUs/GLO/customs brokers daily interactions, optimize site internal control processes that demonstrate the accuracy of pre-entry customs transactions, establish site duty optimization opportunities, and implement new customs processes.
3. Own the effectiveness and efficiency of site CTF processes, support Country Customs Managers and collaborate with APJ Customs Ops and Regulatory Audit Manager to execute 3 core disciplines on site. Conduct specific customs compliance training for site stakeholders.
4. Provide site analytical intelligence to develop and publish site CTF metrics and KPIs, prepare internal and external customs report upon request. Recommend and implement CTF data reporting improvement programs. Execute site post-entry self-audit and post clearance audit recovery programs such as AEO, DFC, etc.
5. Accountable for executing site customs license, business approvals and permits (where applicable) applications and work closely with relevant operational internal/ external stakeholders for approvals.
6. Participate and represent APJ CTF (as required) in ITG's internal, or site business unit projects.
7. Managing CW activities
Represent CTF in internal biz meetings to provide customs and trade facilitation consulting for key stake holders including but not limited to:
• Global Logistics Organization (GLO)
• Global Supply Chain Operations (GSC)
• Government Affairs Group (GGA)
• Legal Team
• Finance Family - Controls, Capital, Operations Finance, General Accounting, Accounts Payable, BnP, Treasury
• ITG peers from other sites and geos
• Zone Customs Authority or other gov't agencies (as applicable)
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a specialized field such as Trade, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a closely related discipline.
- Four or more years of experience in trade compliance, customs operations, or supply chain/logistics management.
- Proficiency in trade compliance systems and tools, with a strong ability to interpret and apply trade regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and analyze large datasets for process optimization and reporting.
- Fluency in Vietnamese and English (written and spoken) with the ability to communicate clearly and precisely.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Trade, Supply Chain, or Logistics.
- Experience leading regional trade projects or implementing innovative solutions in a dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially in ambiguous and fast-paced situations.
- Strong written communication skills, with the ability to draft accurate and thoughtful documentation to avoid errors or misinterpretation.
