Intel's semiconductor manufacturing facilities depend on advanced, highly reliable mechanical systems-and this is your opportunity to play a central role in sustaining and enhancing them.
As a Mechanical Engineer within Facilities Operations, you will ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of critical facilities systems that support manufacturing, cleanroom operations, and lab activities. These systems include:
Compressed air systems
Environmental abatement and compliance exhaust systems
Pumps, piping, valves, compressors
Elevator systems
Your responsibilities include:
Supporting daily tactical operations to meet safety, reliability, and environmental objectives.
Designing, analyzing, troubleshooting, and improving mechanical systems and equipment.
Validating system performance and solving complex, systematic issues.
Developing engineering scopes of work, reviewing designs, and evaluating mechanical systems for new installations or upgrades.
Conducting feasibility studies, equipment testing, and prototype evaluations.
Providing design inputs for documentation and packaging.
Collaborating with internal customers, business units, and facility operations teams to deliver engineering solutions.
Partnering with operations and maintenance providers to ensure systems operate within required specifications.
Leading and supporting planning, design, reconfiguration, construction, maintenance, and system modifications.
Developing long term mechanical systems roadmaps and asset replacement strategies to ensure capacity, redundancy, and readiness for future expansion.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent engineering discipline from an accredited university.
2-3 years of experience in mechanical engineering with exposure to large scale manufacturing or facility services, including exhaust, pumping systems, piping/valves, compressed air systems, and chemical/mechanical fundamentals.
Experience identifying, analyzing, and resolving technical equipment issues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in a business setting.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaboratively within cross functional teams.
Ability to influence both technical and management stakeholders to drive cost effective resolution of issues.
Strong personal commitment to safety.
Willingness to grow into new technical areas and expand beyond current expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Statistical Process Control (SPC).
Experience in production environments or facilities process systems.
Experience commissioning mechanical equipment (pumps, compressors, exhaust fans).
Project planning, coordination, and integration experience.
Ability to present to site leadership and contribute to cross site initiatives.
Ability to communicate technical and tactical concepts across a broad audience, from engineers to technicians to management.
Strong structured problem solving skills.
Proven track record of delivering innovative, cost efficient engineering solutions.
Demonstrated ability to lead through change and act as a change agent.
