Full-stack Engineer ABOUT TORTUS At TORTUS we work with clinicians and hospitals to provide clinically safe and reliable AI. We use a combination of speech-to-text and LLM models to infer information about your visit with a clinician (GP, Paramedic, Surgery), and provide verified documentation and actions. Fundamentally, we are on a mission to eliminate human error in medicine. We've been doing this for the last 2 years, and 2025 saw our biggest increase in usage to date as we rolled out to a large proportion of UK GP surgeries and to London Ambulance and other notable organisations. We're looking for engineers who can work across the full stack - building features that delight clinicians, creating integrations that power our partnerships, and ensuring our systems are reliable and scalable. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR A versatile product-minded engineer who can ship features and scale infrastructure. You'll work across the full stack - building user-facing features that clinicians love in our Web app, or creating partner integrations and SDKs, and ensuring our systems are reliable and maintainable. If you love turning user feedback into elegant solutions while keeping systems running smoothly - we want to talk to you. WHAT ELSE WOULD BE GREAT - 5+ years of full-stack experience - Frontend (React, TypeScript) and backend proficiency (Node.js/NestJS or Python/FastAPI) - Experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, and GitOps (ArgoCD) - Familiarity with healthcare integrations (FHIR, HL7, EMIS, SystmOne, or Epic) or other regulated domains - Experience building partner-facing integrations or SDKs - Microservice architecture patterns and event-based systems - Product-minded — you care about the "why" as much as the "how", and you've worked directly with end users or partners to shape what you build WHAT DOES WILD SUCCESS LOOK LIKE? In 12 months, you've become the engineer that both clinicians and partners trust. You've shipped features that measurably improve clinical workflows - reducing documentation time, catching errors before they happen. You've built relationships with users and partners that inform our product direction. Our NPS has grown significantly, and people actively ask for more of what you've built. WHERE DOES THIS ROLE TAKE YOU? This is a high-impact, product-focused role with broad scope. Excel here and you could grow into engineering leadership, or specialise deeper into product engineering, platform architecture, or infrastructure leadership. You'll work directly with clinicians and partners, shaping product direction based on real needs.
