Senior Solutions Engineer

Senior Solutions Engineer Location: Boulder, hybrid OR remote US Stream is seeking an experienced Senior Solutions Engineer to partner with our sales and customer success teams in driving the adoption of Stream’s APIs and SDKs for messaging, video, and activity feeds. You’ll be the trusted technical advisor to prospective customers, leading complex solution discussions, architecting integrations, and demonstrating how Stream’s products can deliver exceptional user experiences at scale. WHAT YOU WILL DO To succeed as a Senior Solutions Engineer, you’ll combine deep technical expertise with outstanding communication and problem-solving skills. You’ll help customers design scalable, performant integrations, act as a product expert during the sales process, and serve as a bridge between our customers, engineering, and product teams. RESPONSIBILITIES - Lead technical discovery sessions with product, engineering, and architecture stakeholders at prospective and existing customers. - Develop and deliver custom demos, prototypes, and technical presentations tailored to customer use cases. - Serve as the primary technical contact during pre-sales evaluations, proofs of concept, and pilot projects. - Translate customer business goals into Stream solution architectures that demonstrate value and technical feasibility. - Partner closely with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to ensure a smooth handoff from pre-sales to implementation. - Respond to technical sections of RFPs/RFIs and assist in developing solution documentation and architecture diagrams. - Act as a technical subject matter expert on Stream’s APIs, SDKs, and cloud infrastructure, staying current with new feature releases. - Advocate for customer needs and provide structured feedback to the Product and Engineering teams to guide roadmap priorities. - Mentor junior sales engineers and contribute to the continuous improvement of sales engineering processes and best practices. - Represent Stream at industry events, webinars, and conferences as a technical thought leader and brand ambassador. WHO YOU ARE - 5+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Consultant in an infrastructure or API-focused environment. - Proven track record supporting enterprise-level pre-sales engagements with technical depth and business acumen. - Strong understanding of modern application architectures, RESTful APIs, mobile and web development frameworks, and cloud services (AWS, GCP, or Azure). - Experience with at least one major programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, Kotlin, Swift, Java, or React Native). - Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of simplifying complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences. - Collaborative mindset with experience working cross-functionally across Sales, Product, and Engineering. - Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, distributed team environment.
