WHAT YOU WILL BUILD This role exists to take Build’s AI capabilities into the field and make them work against real customer constraints. You own the gap between what is technically possible and what actually delivers value in production. This is a deployment-first role. Success is measured by adoption, outcomes, and reuse, not prototypes or demos. You can expect to: - Work directly with customer stakeholders to understand workflows, define requirements, and set explicit success criteria. - Translate ambiguous customer problems into scoped, shippable solutions. - Design, build, and deploy production-grade AI agents using Python, LangGraph, and emerging AI frameworks. - Lead live pilots, gather field feedback, and iterate rapidly until measurable value is achieved. - Execute full-stack development to tailor experiences to real customer use cases. - Build data collection and automation pipelines using web scraping, browser agents, and voice agents to enable end-to-end workflows. - Own deployments end to end, from initial build through production reliability and adoption. - Communicate progress, tradeoffs, and decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. - Capture deployment learnings and convert them into reusable patterns, playbooks, and product input. - Operate as a true generalist, moving fluidly between agent behavior, data workflows, infrastructure, and platform concerns. - Help define engineering culture by setting a bias toward shipping, learning, and real-world impact.
