Community Lead

Community Lead YOUR ROLE As our Founding Community Lead, you will be responsible for bringing the right people into Overtone’s orbit and helping our earliest members feel like true insiders. You’ll build and maintain authentic relationships with influential daters, creators, hosts, and cultural connectors, and design intimate events and experiences that bring Overtone to life. This is a high-range role at an early-stage company. You’ll wear multiple hats, move fluidly between relationship-building and execution, and help shape how Overtone grows through trust, belonging, and word of mouth—not hype. What You’ll Do - Relationship building: Develop and maintain thoughtful, values-aligned relationships with influential daters, creators, hosts, and cultural connectors. - Early member stewardship: Build ongoing relationships with early members, helping them feel like trusted insiders and active participants in shaping Overtone. - Event curation: Conceive of and execute intimate, high-quality events (dinners, salons, listening sessions) that foster real connection and signal Overtone’s culture. - Referral programs: Oversee and evolve Overtone’s referral and invitation programs to ensure growth remains intentional, warm, and values-aligned. - Influencer relationships: Identify and nurture relationships with aligned creators and voices, enabling organic sharing rather than transactional promotion. - Experience coherence: Ensure that every outward-facing touchpoint—events, invitations, member interactions—feels consistent with Overtone’s tone, values, and level of care. Who You Are - Experience building communities, member programs, or relationship-driven initiatives in startups, media, hospitality, lifestyle brands, or adjacent spaces - A strong track record of relationship-based work, where trust, taste, and discretion matter more than scale - Comfort conceiving of and executing events and experiences, from idea through follow-through - Experience working in early-stage or ambiguous environments, where initiative and judgment matter more than process - Strong organizational instincts and follow-through—you don’t drop relationships or details COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Salary of $160k to $190k. This position will receive meaningful stock options with considerable upside potential.
