Let’s shape the future of customer engagement together!</p></div><p>We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Nexus Team in our growing Lisbon RD Hub.</p> <p>Nexus owns the <strong>front door to Iterable</strong>. The team is responsible for authentication, login, SSO/SAML, MFA, organization and project creation, access control, and the RBAC and governance frameworks that power the entire platform.</p> <p>This team operates critical, high-traffic systems including event processing, link tracking and shortening, and key parts of billing and usage pipelines. When these systems fail, customers cannot access the platform or trust its correctness. This is true production ownership with real impact.</p> <p>Nexus sits at the intersection of platform engineering and product experience, building secure and scalable backend systems while also powering user-facing surfaces such as the Admin App and internal control tools. As Iterable scales up-market, security, compliance, reliability, and governance become even more critical—making this one of the highest-leverage teams in the company.</p> <p><strong>You Will</strong></p> <ul> <li>Lead and grow a high-performing engineering team in Lisbon, fostering strong ownership and operational excellence.</li> <li>Own the reliability, scalability, and correctness of critical authentication, governance, and event-driven systems.</li> <li>Partner closely with Product, Security, Billing, and Infrastructure teams to deliver secure and scalable solutions.</li> <li>Coach engineers to make sound technical trade-offs without becoming the bottleneck.</li> <li>Drive best practices in architecture, observability, and incident management.</li> </ul> <p><strong>We Are Looking For</strong></p> <ul> <li>2+ years of Engineering Management experience in a SaaS or platform environment.</li> <li>Strong technical foundation in backend and distributed systems (JVM ecosystem preferred).</li> <li>Experience operating production systems at scale, including on-call and incident response.</li> <li>Familiarity wi ...
