You’ll join an established recruiting function and partner closely with recruiters and engineering leaders to strengthen our pipeline strategy and execution.</p> <p>This is a sourcing-first role dedicated to Engineering to start. You’ll lead proactive talent mapping, generate meaningful pipeline, and bring real-time market insight into hiring decisions. You won’t be starting from scratch, but you will be expected to operate with ownership, judgment, and a clear point of view on how to improve the way we source.</p> <p>You’ll often be an early point of contact for engineers considering <a href="http://Customer.io">Customer.io</a>. You generate meaningful pipeline while staying thoughtful about who you’re reaching and why.</p> <h2>What You’ll Do</h2> <ul> <li>Lead sourcing strategy for <strong>Engineering roles</strong>, building high-quality pipelines through proactive outreach and thoughtful inbound review.</li> <li>Conduct structured talent mapping across target companies and markets to identify strong engineering talent.</li> <li>Partner closely with recruiters and engineering hiring managers to define candidate profiles, align on scope and seniority, and continuously refine search direction as new insights emerge.</li> <li>Proactively engage engineering hiring managers to clarify expectations, surface constraints, and strengthen alignment throughout the search.</li> <li>Engage passive engineers through personalized outreach and exploratory conversations before recruiter handoff.</li> <li>Stay informed on engineering hiring trends, talent density, and evolving role expectations to continuously sharpen sourcing strategy.</li> <li>Share insights on talent availability, market dynamics, and search feasibility to help refine hiring plans.</li> <li>Build and maintain long-term relationships with engineering talent, even when no immediate role is open.</li> <li>Maintain clean pipeline data and continuously improve sourcing effectiveness through data and feedback.</li> </ul> <h2>What We’re Looking For</h2> <ul> <li>5-7+ years of experience in technical sourcing or recruiting, with significant focus on software engineering hiring.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to build and convert high-quality pipelines for senior+ engineering roles in competitive markets.</li> <li>Strong understanding of engineering roles and leveling, with the ability to assess scope and relevant technical experience early.</li> <li>Experience building strong working relationships with recruiters and hiring managers, influencing search strategy through insight and data.</li> <li>Excellent written communication skills a ...
