Role Overview The Global Operation Technology (Global Ops Tech) is responsible for the system that enable Coupang to reliably fulfill customer orders in Fulfillment Centers within hours of order placement. The Global Ops Tech Organization is on a mission to innovate by building an efficient eco system that operates at breakthrough scale and speed. The desired candidate will help lead Global Ops Tech Picking team build systems that drive the overall process and workflow of Coupang's fulfillment systems. This work will not only include designing and building world-class systems but also drive adoption of advanced technologies in terms of innovation and process optimization. What You Will Do Serve as a technical lead on our most demanding, cross-functional projects involving Inventory and Promise. Independently come up with quality architecture and design of systems for new microservices and machine learning pipelines. Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straightforward solutions. Possess expert knowledge in performance, scalability, enterprise distributed architecture, and engineering best practices. Assist in the career development of others, actively mentoring individuals and the community on advanced technical issues and helping managers guide the career growth of their team members. Exert technical influence over multiple teams, increasing their productivity and effectiveness by sharing your deep knowledge and experience Basic Qualifications Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, Math, or a closely related field 6 years of experience in backend software development Proficiency in Java and the Spring Framework Experience working in cloud environments, particularly AWS Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining highly available, distributed systems Preferred Qualifications Strong communication skills for interfacing with technical teams, business stakeholders, and end users Familiarity with Agile development practices, including code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines Proven ability to lead and collaborate in cross-functional, fast-paced environments Experience managing mission-critical services with high throughput and low latency Pay Benefits Our compensation reflects the cost of living across several US geographic markets. At Coupang, your base pay is one part of your total compensation. The base pay for this position ranges from $142,000/year in our lowest geographic market to $309,0000/year in our highest geographic market.
