Together, we will change the future of energy, because the world can't wait.What You Will Be DoingYou will work directly with the Electrical Engineering team to build, modify, debug, and sustain the low and high voltage electronics that enable Helion’s fusion machines to operate. You will support pulsed-energy drive systems, diagnostics, controls, and energy recovery hardware by hands-on assembly, wiring, instrumentation setup, and real-time troubleshooting in lab and production environments. You will be expected to independently execute complex bench-level work, identify hardware issues through measurement and observation, and partner with engineers to resolve problems quickly and safely in high-noise, high-field environments. You will report to our Production Manager at our Everett, WA facility.You WillBuild, wire, and test PCBA and control systems used directly on fusion machines and supporting test infrastructureSet up, configure, and operate test equipment and instrumentation, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads, pulse generators, and DAQ systemsAssemble and modify electrical subassemblies, harnesses, fixtures, and test components for PCBAs, pulse power electronics, and prototype systemsIndependently troubleshoot electrical faults at the board, subassembly, and system level using schematics, measurements, and signal tracingInspect, repair, and rework electronics assemblies and PCBAs to IPC standards, while diagnosing root causeSupport bring-up, debug, and iteration of new hardware alongside engineers, including rapid changes and rework during development cyclesMaintain component inventories, lab organization, and equipment readiness to support continuous testing and build activityPerform preventative maintenance and calibration of lab equipmentRequired Skills:5+ years of hands-on experience in a research, fabrication, or test lab environmentDemonstrated ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, interconnects, and wiring diagrams and apply them at the benchProven experience soldering, reflowing, reworking, and repairing PCBAs to IPC standards (IPC-A-610, IPC-A-620, J-STD-001, IPC-7711/7721)#LI-OnsiteBenefitsOur total compensation package includes benefits, including but not limited to:• Medical, Dental, and Vision plans for employees and their families • 31 Days of PTO (21 vacation days and 10 sick days) • 10 Paid holidays, plus company-wide winter break • Up to 5% employer 401(k) match • Short term disability, long term disability, and life insurance • Paid parental leave and support (up to 16 weeks) • Annual wellness stipendHelion is an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
