Senior Engineering Manager

<p><strong>The mission:<br></strong>The Senior Engineering Manager’s mission is to lead a team of engineers focused on reducing loss rate by improving the end-to-end payments, reminders, and collections experience.</p> <p>This role blends strong engineering leadership with product mindset, ensuring the team delivers measurable business outcomes while discovering new opportunities to create customer and business value.</p> <p><br><strong>The expected outcome:<br></strong></p> <ul> <li>Reduce loss rate by improving Paid On Time Rate and Recovery Rate through better payment reminders, collections flows, and customer experiences.</li> <li>Lead and scale a high-performing engineering team that delivers reliably against business-critical objectives.</li> <li>Partner closely with Product, Credit Risk, and Growth to align engineering execution with customer and business outcomes.</li> <li>Enable fast experimentation and learning cycles to continuously improve collections practices and uncover the next wave of product opportunities.</li> <li>Establish clear ownership, accountability, and execution standards across the team.</li> <li>Support the professional growth and performance tracking of engineers, fostering a high-performance and engaged team environment.</li> <li>Manage the hiring, onboarding, and development of engineering talent to expand and strengthen the team.</li> </ul> <p><strong>The day to day tasks:<br></strong></p> <ul> <li>Partner with Product Managers to translate business goals (loss rate, recovery, on-time payment) into clear engineering priorities and OKRs.</li> <li>Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of initiatives related to payments, reminders, collections, and recovery systems.</li> <li>Manage, mentor, and grow engineers through regular one-on-ones, feedback, performance reviews, and career development plans.</li> <li>Ensure strong engineering practices around reliability, observability, security, and scalability for customer-facing and operational systems.</li> <li>Coordinate cross-functionally with Risk, Growth and finance to ensure solutions are effective, compliant, and operationally sound.</li> <li>Own team capacity planning, technical risk management, and delivery predictability.</li> <li>Hire, onboard, and develop engineering talent to strengthen team capabilities over time.</li> </ul> <p><strong>What we can offer:<br></strong></p> <ul> <li>Being part of a multicultural, highly driven team of professionals</li> <li>20 vacation days / year + 75% holiday bonus (Prima Vacacional)</li> <li>1 month (proportional) of Christmas bonus (Aguinaldo)</li> <li>Food vouchers</li> <li>Health Life insurance</li> <li>Competitive salary</li> </ul>
