THE OPPORTUNITY: As our Senior Accountant in Finance Operations, you'll be at the heart of what keeps our financial engine running accurately and reliably across borders — and you'll help shape what that engine looks like next. You'll own the month-end close and annual financial statements for Taxfix SE's international subsidiaries, bringing hands-on precision and cross-border experience that turns complexity into clarity. But this role goes beyond the close. YOUR TEAM: We're an AI-first team, and we mean it — you'll actively contribute to how we use AI tools and agents to rethink accounting workflows, bringing both curiosity and practical experience. Reporting to our Director of Operational Finance and collaborating closely with Tax, Legal, Treasury, Payroll, and FP&A, you'll work in a flat, collaborative environment where your voice shapes how we build and grow. You'll also be someone your junior teammates can learn from — not through hierarchy, but through the way you work, share, and bring people along. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES: - Own the end-to-end month-end close and annual financial statements for Taxfix SE's international subsidiaries, ensuring consistent application of accounting policies across entities. - Lead initiatives to strengthen the close process — from control enhancements and journal governance to reconciliation quality and process standardization. - Drive statutory reporting readiness by coordinating timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment across multiple countries. - Manage international audit execution end-to-end, including planning, PBC and request management and maintaining strong audit trails. - Draft and review technical accounting memos for non-routine or complex matters, providing clear and well-reasoned positions. - Streamline intercompany processes — billing, reconciliations, and eliminations — to reduce errors and eliminate period-end surprises. - Coordinate VAT filings across jurisdictions, ensuring compliance with local tax obligations in close collaboration with the Tax team and external advisors. - Partner actively with G&A Department OR Legal, FP&A, Payroll to align accounting treatment with evolving business and compliance needs. - Contribute to and help lead AI-driven projects in Finance Operations — including exploring and building AI agents that automate or enhance accounting workflows, with genuine interest in how AI is reshaping finance. - Support and grow the people around you — sharing knowledge, giving feedback, and creating an environment where junior teammates feel empowered to develop and take ownership. YOUR PROFILE: - 8+ years of solid accounting experience across multiple countries or legal entities — comfortable navigating different jurisdictions. - Genuinely hands-on: rolls up sleeves, gets into the details, and takes ownership from start to finish — without losing sight of the bigger picture. - Proven track record of running a full month-end close end-to-end, independently and to a high standard. - Practical experience with VAT filings across different jurisdictions and understanding of how local compliance obligations vary. - Precise and diligent by nature — accuracy isn't just a requirement, it's how the work gets done ...
