Build the best technology in-house, using new data sources, machine learning and AI to make machines do the heavy lifting ABOUT THE ROLE We’re looking for a Staff React Engineer to join our SuperApp engineering group, focusing on the Zable website as a key way customers discover and use our products. This is the team that owns and improves core customer journeys on the Zable website, from discovery and eligibility through to application and self service, working closely with product, design and backend engineers across multiple domains. There’s a lot to do as we launch new products, bring Zable to new audiences and continually improve performance and reliability, and you will take ownership for delivering meaningful web features, guiding implementation choices and helping the team ship high quality experiences. What you’ll be doing/impact on objectives - Provide technical leadership for web work that touches the Zable website, setting the direction for how we design and build React and TypeScript front ends across SuperApp teams. - Work with product managers and designers to turn ideas and high level goals into clear, deliverable web projects, breaking them into stages that multiple engineers and teams can own. - Design and review front end architecture and patterns for the Zable website, helping the team choose sensible abstractions, manage complexity and keep the codebase healthy as it grows. - Guide the way we approach testing and quality for Zable web journeys by setting expectations for unit, integration and end to end tests, and by helping the team keep them stable and useful. - Lead efforts to improve performance, reliability and accessibility on the Zable website, using metrics and tools such as Sentry or Datadog to spot issues and working with others to address them. - Identify and communicate technical debt and platform risks, and work with engineering managers and product partners to balance new feature work with necessary code and architecture improvements. - Mentor and support other engineers through design discussions, code reviews and pairing, so that more people in the group can confidently own complex work. - Collaborate with other technical leads in SuperApp and related areas to align on shared standards and to coordinate cross team initiatives that improve the wider platform.
