We’re looking for a Data Analytics Intern to join our team for the summer. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with real-world space and satellite data, build analytical tools, and contribute to meaningful insights in the space domain. You’ll collaborate with experienced engineers and analysts while developing practical skills in data science, analytics, and software development. What You’ll Bring: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or similar) Experience or coursework in data analysis, data handling, or software development Familiarity with one or more of the following: Python, JavaScript, SQL Exposure to APIs, data ingestion, or working with large datasets is a plus Interest in artificial intelligence or machine learning concepts Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and curiosity to learn What You’ll Do: Build a tool to ingest and analyze open-source space object data, including identifying relationships across datasets Support troubleshooting and improvement of existing analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Databricks) Help maintain and enrich a curated catalog of space objects with key attributes (e.g., size, origin, propulsion, onboard systems) Use analytics tools to identify trends, generate insights, and support space domain awareness efforts Document findings and contribute to team knowledge sharing What You’ll Gain: Hands-on experience working with real-world data and analytics tools Exposure to space domain awareness and satellite data analysis Mentorship from experienced professionals in data analytics and engineering Opportunity to contribute to impactful, mission-driven work All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identify, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
