We are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead our Analytics team responsible for building and evolving a high-scale distributed data processing platform that impacts hundreds of large B2C and B2B merchants. We are looking for a proven engineering leader who is passionate about mentoring and developing high-performing engineers, fostering a team-oriented culture, and rallying others to deliver on engineering initiatives that directly contribute to business goals and product strategies. Technical Leadership Architecture Define and champion the technical roadmap and design for a scalable data processing and insight platform, ensuring it meets the analytical needs of a high-growth search product. Direct the implementation and maintenance of internal and external APIs, focusing on tackling tough scaling challenges to increase automation , improve operational efficiency , and lower system costs. Establish best practices for data processing, observability, and documentation to measurably improve the team's operational efficiency and the overall stability of the platform. Team and Project Management Collaborate closely with Product Management and other stakeholders to translate ambiguous business needs into clear, actionable technical roadmaps and project plans. Manage the full project lifecycle , overseeing planning, capacity, and development schedules to ensure predictable and high-quality feature delivery. Implement and enforce rigorous software development lifecycles (SDLC) , setting high expectations for code quality, change management, and security. Drive alignment and consensus across geographically distributed teams and time zones, proactively resolving dependencies and conflicts. People Leadership Culture Build and mentor a best-in-class data analytics engineering team , fostering an inclusive culture of continuous learning, psychological safety, and high performance. Coach and develop engineering talent, creating growth opportunities and defining clear career paths within the organization. What you’ll bring: Technical Depth Experience 8+ years of relevant experience in software engineering, with deep expertise in distributed systems, big data processing, and data streaming technologies (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Flink). Proficiency in core languages such as Java and Python is strongly preferred. 4+ years of hands-on experience architecting and operating production systems within AWS or another major cloud provider. Demonstrated technical leadership in complex data warehousing, OLAP, and large-scale distributed/infrastructure systems in a production environment.
