Senior Data Analyst, People Analytics Department: People & Places Team: People Location: San Francisco, United States Type: Full-Time **About the Role** The People Analytics team is looking for a senior data analyst who is passionate about using data to answer business questions and influence decisions. This role sits at the intersection of business analytics consulting and employee listening, supporting company-wide decisions through data analysis, survey insights, and people metrics. **What You'll Do** **Act as an analytics consultant to the business** - Partner with stakeholders to quickly understand business questions and translate them into clear, actionable analyses - Deliver timely, high-quality insights that inform decisions on engagement, retention, performance, and organizational health - Balance speed and rigor to support both rapid questions and deeper dives **Drive employee listening insights** - Analyze Uber-wide employee survey data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities - Support survey reporting, interpretation, and storytelling to drive action across teams - Contribute to improving how we measure and understand employee experience **Work with people data at scale** - Query, clean, and analyze data from multiple data sources (e.g., HRIS, surveys, behavioral data) - Build survey dashboards, reports, and repeatable analyses that enable self-service and scalable insights **Communicate and influence** - Translate data into clear narratives, visualizations, and recommendations for both technical and non-technical audiences - Partner with cross-functional teams (HRBPs, leaders) to ensure insights drive action **Basic Qualifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative or analytical field (e.g., Economics, Psychology, Business, Statistics, Data Analytics, or related) - Strong SQL expertise with the ability to independently write complex, efficient queries on large datasets - 2+ years of experience analyzing data and delivering insights in a business environment **Preferred Qualifications** - Experience using tools such as Python, R, Excel, or similar fo
