This position partners closely with HR Compensation and Benefits, Payroll, Corporate Planning, Treasury, Accounting Policy, shared service teams, and other finance stakeholders to ensure accounting is accurate, timely, compliant, and supported by strong internal controls. This role is a key member of Corporate Accounting responsible for supporting the end-to-end accounting, reporting, forecasting, and controllership of sabbatical and health and welfare-related programs and obligations. This role supports recurring close activities, accruals, forecasting cycles, policy and process documentation, and special projects tied to employee benefit-related accounting. Key Responsibilities : Prepare and maintain Intel's financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Manage interactions with external auditors and government authorities, providing essential data analysis and insights to shape business decisions. Validate month-end accounts and ensure the integrity of reported results, resolving issues and preparing timely business insights. Drive compliance with IFRS, US GAAP, and Intel policies. Support the accounting and reporting for global sabbatical programs, including accrual preparation, true-up / true-down analyses, journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities related to sabbatical accounting and associated balance sheet and expense accounts. Prepare materials and analyses to support Controller presentations, close reviews, and follow-up questions. Support forecasting activities related to sabbatical programs. Assist in evaluating and documenting key sabbatical assumptions, including forfeiture rates, utilization trends, and related process documentation. Support the implementation of new sabbatical accounting policies, updated methodologies, and revised models as business programs evolve. Assist with country- or program-specific workstreams, including support for forecast and actuals transition activities. Support recurring Health and Welfare close activities, including account analysis, reconciliations, accruals, and reporting support. Prepare and maintain accounting schedules and close support for Health and Welfare-related balances and transactions. Help ensure Health and Welfare accounting activities are completed accurately and timely in accordance with company policy and accounting guidance. Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve data, process, and reporting issues impacting Health and Welfare accounting. Support close activities related to Long-Term Disability (LTD), Workers' Compensation (WC), and Captive accounting processes. Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, roll forwards, and supporting schedules for related liabilities, expenses, and intercompany or program-related balances, as applicable. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or Masters Degree. Proficiency in accounting principles and standards, including IFRS and US GAAP. Demonstrated expertise in financial systems such as SAP S4, SQL querying, and Power BI. Knowledge of SOX compliance and cost accounting policies. At least 3 years of relevant exp ...
