In this role, you will partner closely with cross-functional leaders to deliver new features, reduce technical debt, mentor and develop engineers, and ensure strong project execution. You will lead the team through a major rearchitecture of the product, so deep technical expertise and the ability to operate hands-on at an architectural level are critical to success. *We are looking for someone that can work market hours, starting at 6:30am Monday through Friday. Your impact Collaborate with product management and design teams to understand business needs, growth objectives, and market dynamics Create a culture of innovation and technical excellence, encouraging experimentation and exploring new opportunities for company growth Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes, automation, tools, and methodologies to enhance operational efficiency and quality Provide strong leadership to the engineering team, enabling a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement Set clear goals, expectations, and performance metrics for the engineering teams, holding individuals accountable for their deliverables What you bring Experience - 3+ years of experience working as Software Engineering Manager within a high performing Engineering organization, but flexible depending on technical leadership experience 8+ years of experience in software development and delivery owning a highly visible and large technical scope and an in-depth knowledge of software architectures Experience in building and managing large scale software applications in a fast-paced, high-growth environment Education - Ideally looking for a B.A. / B.S. degree in relevant fields such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field Technical aptitude - You’re technologically savvy and can easily get up to speed on modern tech stacks (we use Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, AWS, Postgres, Kafka, Kubernetes) Ownership - The pride you put into every aspect of your work is unparalleled and undeniable Superb communication - Intentional dialogue is a superpower.
