Job Description
Creative Designer - Bangalore
About Flagright:
Flagright is an AI operating system for financial crime compliance used globally by Fortune 500 companies, large banks, fintechs, and fast growing startups. Flagright enables real-time risk detection, automated investigations, and intelligent decisioning, helping compliance teams operate at their full potential in the fight against financial crime.
We operate as a lean, high-performance team with high individual ownership and direct access to leadership.
Role overview:
Our Design team brings Flagright’s vision to life, turning complex ideas into clear, high-impact experiences across every touchpoint. We are hiring a Creative Designer to turn complex ideas into clean, conversion-aware visuals across formats.
The Creative Designer role focuses on hands-on designing across brand, marketing, web, and sales, translating ideas and content into clear, strategic visuals.
You'll do well in this role if you can:
- Understand intent and content quickly and turn them into strategic visuals
- Demonstrate a strong eye for design, with good judgment around layout, hierarchy, typography, spacing, and color
- Apply design fundamentals consistently across different formats without relying on templates
- Take feedback constructively and iterate
- Execute assigned work with discipline and meet timelines
People who thrive at Flagright:
- Have been knocked down before and gotten back up
- Are resourceful—they figure things out with whatever tools are available
- Have strong opinions and can defend them
- Learn fast because they're hungry
- Want to work with no-BS people building something important
People who struggle here:
- Need extensive hand-holding
- View high expectations as “unreasonable”
- Actually prioritize work-life balance
- Can’t handle ambiguity or rejection
- Prefer consistent routine over fast-changing priorities
Key responsibilities:
- Design marketing and social assets: static posts, carousels, and campaign & ad creatives
- Understand the content and requirements, and write supporting copy when needed
- Create and update sales materials: decks, one-pagers, brochures, banners, etc.
- Design landing pages, and extend the brand system across digital surfaces
- Update and refine existing assets as needs evolve
- Design swag, print materials, and event collateral
- Working knowledge of motion graphics for simple, purposeful animations (optional)
Who we are looking for:
- 1 to 3 years of experience as a creative designer
- Proven hands-on experience with Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, AI tools (ChatGPT, Midjourney), Rive (good to have)
- Portfolio comprising of:
- At least 4 end-to-end visual/graphic design projects (SaaS preferred), not limited to UI/UX
- Design reasoning or process, not just final outputs
- Work across multiple formats (web, social, sales, branding, print)
- Strong design fundamentals visible in layout, hierarchy, typography, and spacing
- Original work, not heavily template-driven
- Use of AI tools across different areas (image generation, mockups, animations, etc.)
What we offer:
- Product with clear, real-world differentiation
- High-bar environment focused on execution, learning, and continuous improvement
- Get equity from day 1 at a Y Combinator startup
- Work alongside a highly competent, top-tier team, including professionals from Y Combinator, ex AWS, and Palantir
- Enjoy a low-bureaucracy environment, minimal meetings, and an asynchronous communications culture
Application process:
In addition to your resume, please include all of the following or we won’t review your application:
1. Notice period
2. Annual salary expectation (INR)
3. URL to your portfolio
