The result: seamless implementation, clear stakeholder alignment, and lasting business impact. Due to business growth, we are looking for an Assistant Accountant. This is a newly created role with an opportunity to be a part of a growing business and team. To be successful in this role, you should have extensive prior experience with ledger accounting, month end closing processes and a keen eye for detail operating in a “scale-up” environment. Ultimately, you will provide us with accurate and timely ledger accounting in support to the Financial Accountant. Further requirements are the ability to provide FPA value added insights to the business. Ideally experienced in project delivery as the organisation migrates and improves its current MIS and existing support systems. Responsibilities Deputise on all daily monthly Financial Accountant duties Review and reconcile hourly payroll data through to customer invoicing Ongoing timely payment of creditors Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations Process all accounting transactions in a timely accurate manner Prepare weekly flash reports and forecast variance reporting Provide forward visibility through pipeline analysis reporting Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain control environment Assist in preparation of budgets forecasts Assist deputise in ongoing timely invoicing of current customers Support the monthly, quarterly and annual closings Ensure financial transactions and documents are audit compliant Manage a range of ad-hoc financial reports to support internal decision-making Ensure compliance with financial policies and internal controls. Requirements and skills Minimum 3 year career experience in ledger and project accounting Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including IFRS GAAP Hands-on experience with Sage accounting software Experience in Salesforce CoreTime is an advantage MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-first mindset Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills Finance degree, studying toward ACCA / CIMA or equivalent What’s in it for you?
