Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
Shift-based role in a 24x7x365 facility
Monitor BlackBerry Infrastructure and Services
Coordinate Incident Response
Remediates issues where possible
Implement Structured Changes
Document Events
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor the BlackBerry Infrastructure using a variety of tools and react to alerts
Log alerts and relate them to an incident or a Change
Be aware of resolution targets for all Services
Engage relevant Support Teams and work with them as a team until the incident is resolved
Be prepared to escalate an issue to Management in order to drive resolution
Document and record steps taken towards resolution of an incident and add this to the knowledge database for future referral.
Perform maintenance tasks to ensure continuous delivery of BlackBerry Services
Act as the first point of contact for partner NOCs
Action Customer escalations from Customer Service Operations
Actively participate in, and suggest projects to improve the technical or working environment
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Post-secondary diploma in Computer Systems, Systems Administration, or a related discipline
Relevant experience in an IT Administration or Network Operations setting
Experience with Public Cloud, especially Azure and AWS
Experience with virtual systems management such as Open Nebula
System administration experience with Windows, Linux, Ubuntu
Experience with Storage systems (NetApp)
Have knowledge of Internet protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP(S), SSL)
Communicate well and a maintain a positive attitude in stressful situations
Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software related issues
Work well in a team environment
Learn and Share Knowledge
Work rotating shifts including nights and weekends
ADDITIONAL ASSETS
Networking knowledge and experience with Carriers
Customer Service and Incident Management
Experience with Databases (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, Cassandra, Maria DB)
Experience with middleware such as Apache, JBOSS, WebLogic
Experience with JIRA
Previous knowledge of BlackBerry

Compensation Hiring Base Salary Range:
$65,600.00 - $92,250.00
Please be advised that the compensation hiring range indicated herein is provided solely as a good-faith estimate of expected base compensation for the position. The actual compensation offered will be determined at the time of hire and is contingent upon multiple factors, including but not limited to the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, demonstrated skills, and results of assessments conducted during the hiring process.
