Reporting to the Supply Chain Planning Manager in Korea, as a Supply Chain Planner, you will take the lead to handle the end-to-end Supply Planning and Inventory Management activities for the Cardiovascular portfolio business. This is an individual contributor role and will be sitting in together with the rest of the Supply Chain Planners in Gangnam, Seoul office.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Manage key inventory planning functions to provide quality and timely service to internal and external customers.
Monitor and improve product availability in conjunction with identifying initiatives to optimise inventory levels.
Manage inventory levels through Stock Transfer Orders / purchase orders and ensure stock is received within acceptable time parameters.
Manage supply through Medtronic Supply Network.
Utilise SAP R3, BY ESP, BW & Power BI Portal in the context of planning functions and processes.
Manage inventory levels at the Distribution Centre in accordance with inventory targets, required customer service metrics and stocking strategies.
Review the weekly inventory re-order and ad hoc reports as required for the Business and place inventory purchase orders with appropriate suppliers.
Liaise with Product Managers and Sales team to help formulate strategies for inventory optimisation, taking into account changing market dynamics, phase in and phase out plans for other influences.
Work with Product Managers to maintain focus on potential inventory obsolescence write off risks.
Ensure product managers, sales team and others receive regular reports on the availability of products to facilitate the distribution to customers.
Review and update BY Inventory Optimisation to control the inventory level systematically.
Maintain data integrity of system master data to enable the planning system to generate accurate supply chain plans.
Demonstrate business partnering with Product Managers, Marketing Managers, sales team and other internal stakeholders like finance and regulatory affairs.
Develop working relationships with other geographies, global business planners, cross-business partners and key functional areas to continue to build the organisation.
Demonstrate good understanding and application of Supply Chain principles, concepts, practices and standards.
Ensure that the company’s agreed quality standards are maintained regarding its products, procedures, policies, operations and customer contracts.
Review and investigate major KPIs(Inventory, SOGL, BO, OTIF to enhance monthly basis and define the action plan for improvement and drive it.
Meet with key business associates (product managers, regulatory associates, marketing & Sales managers, finance and logistics) to review business requirements (IBP) that detail risks, obsolescence, forecast and sales trends, backorders, phase-in/phase-out of product, regulatory requirements and general business.
Follow up with suppliers on missing and/or damaged goods.
Arrange all exports for inventory transfers to other Medtronic locations and returns to manufacturer.
To liaise effectively with all members of the logistics team to ensure that stock is received and utilized in the correct manner.
Manage inventory back orders by working with Customer Service Staff.
Liaise with Regulatory where necessary to ensure product compliance.
Act as primary contact for all relevant Inventory requirements from local and international staff.
