Medtronic’s Respiratory Interventions team strives to empower clinicians with actionable insights and innovative solutions to prevent and treat life-threatening conditions. We focus on critical care areas (OR and ICU) and go further across the full continuum of care to avoid perioperative complications and respiratory compromise. The Respiratory Interventions Sales Specialist is responsible for selling and implementing the Mechanical Ventilation & Respiratory products to Medtronic customers and prospects with an enhanced focus on clinical and outcome-based benefits of our solutions.
That requires skills like the ability to build a coalition of stakeholders within each customer, strong stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills, strong clinical acumen, stamina to keep going through long and complex sales cycles, eagerness and drive to bring opportunities to closure.
The capacity to engage directly with key opinion leaders in the RI field is a must, while simultaneously demonstrating clinical & procedural acumen when facing other relevant stakeholders. understanding of entire patient pathway overview to collaborate with different OUs and bring the breadth of MDT into the game
Passion for gathering relevant information and continuously upskilling oneself to keep with the constantly changing market needs is a must alongside the habit of making data driven decisions.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
Promotes and sells Ventilation and Respiratory products/solutions in close collaboration with the RI Account Managers, within an assigned geographic area and /or specific customer accounts
Responsible for developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships with relevant (clinical) stakeholders, KOL and local Ad Boards and societies in close collaboration with Account Managers.
Responsible for pursuing leads, assessing needs, and providing product services to maximize the benefits derived from Medtronic's products and/or services.
Promotes and establishes education of the company's products and/or services.
Conducts market research including customers and competitors’ activities.
Execute on local market development plans/strategies and changes as needed.
Communicates customer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existing products or applications to internal stakeholders including R&D, Operations and Marketing.
Required Knowledge and Experience:
Min. 5 years Clinical experience as nurse working in ICU / Anastatic Dept with ventilators.
Min. 5 years field sales experience
Strong network in the healthcare sector in the respective Country/Region
RI portfolio clinical and industry knowledge
Language skills: French, Flemish and English.
Clear and assertive communication. Excellent presentation skills
