ABOUT THE ROLE The ML/AI talent market in Korea is one of the most competitive globally—and the people we hire are critical to our success. This is a foundational in-house Talent Researcher role embedded within our Korea Recruiting team. You will play a key role in building and shaping our technical talent pipeline from the ground up. You’ll own sourcing for high-impact ML roles, build a deep understanding of Korea’s AI talent landscape, and help establish TwelveLabs as a destination for top researchers and engineers. If you enjoy uncovering exceptional talent before others do—and want to directly impact who we hire—this role is for you. Note: This is a 1 year Fixed-Term Contract. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL DO 1. Targeted Sourcing - Own and execute proactive sourcing strategies for ML Engineer, ML Research Engineer, and Research Scientist roles primarily, and also involve GTM and product engineering roles that are critical to the success of product roadmap. - Identify and engage highly passive candidates across diverse channels: professional networks, academic publications, open-source communities, and conferences - Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers through weekly syncs, delivering high-quality, well-researched candidate shortlists - Conduct initial outreach and conversations to assess technical background, research interests, and potential fit 2. Talent Mapping & Market Intelligence - Build and maintain a dynamic talent map of ML/AI professionals in Korea - Track talent movement across tech companies, research institutes, and AI startups - Share actionable market insights: talent supply, compensation trends, emerging skills, and pipeline health - Identify sourcing gaps and propose targeted strategies to address them 3. Talent Community & Employer Branding - Design and execute ML/AI community engagement strategies (e.g., research dinners, tech talks, conferences, hackathons) - Build authentic relationships within AI/ML communities, meetups, and industry networks - Nurture long-term relationships with high-potential candidates - Measure and iterate on community initiatives based on hiring impact 4.
