What you'll do We're building a talent pipeline for exceptional Senior Backend Engineers who want to be part of Clara’s mission in transforming corporate spend management across Latin America. As a Senior Backend Engineer , you'll help architect and scale backend services that power mission-critical features. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to ensure our systems are performant, maintainable, and aligned with both technical and business goals. Typical responsibilities include: Designing and developing backend services using Java , Spring , and Spring Boot Architecting scalable systems based on microservices , distributed systems , and RESTful APIs Building integrations with PostgreSQL , MySQL , MongoDB , or DynamoDB Leveraging event-driven architectures and tools like Kafka or RabbitMQ Driving DevOps best practices with Docker , Kubernetes , and CI/CD pipelines Operating within AWS and applying cloud-native architecture principles Applying TDD , BDD , and Agile methodologies to ensure high-quality releases Mentoring engineers and contributing to architectural strategy Who you are We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
