What you'll do
We're looking for a Credit Strategy Expert to help shape Clara’s credit strategy as we continue to scale across Latin America. This role is critical to the development and execution of policies that drive responsible growth in our credit portfolio.
As part of our Risk team, you'll lead initiatives that balance financial performance with risk mitigation. You'll design and optimize our credit strategy policies using advanced analytics , partner closely with data science , product , and go-to-market teams, and play a pivotal role in how we assess and manage credit risk.
Who you are
We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.
Must haves
5+ years in a data-driven role within financial services , with direct experience in credit risk analytics , policy design, or acquisition strategy
Strong grasp of statistical modeling , risk assessment techniques , and predictive analytics
Experience working with data science tools and statistical software to inform business strategy
Demonstrated ability to translate complex analytics into clear business actions
Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Economics, Finance, or a related field
Fluent in English and Spanish
Working proficiency in SQL , Python , or other analytical tools
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Nice to haves
Familiarity with AI tools to automate or optimize decision-making
Experience in a high-growth startup or fintech environment
Basic Portuguese or a willingness to learn
