The Role We’re seeking a Product Manager to own and scale our Buyer Solutions product line, anchored by Portfolio Insights - the platform that helps energy buyers manage, forecast, and validate the performance of their renewable energy portfolios. You’ll take over a product with strong customer pull and grow it by expanding to new geographies, automating manual data workflows, and scaling the platform to support customers with 100+ assets. You’ll define the product strategy for automating these pipelines, integrating real-time asset telemetry, and building infrastructure to support new market expansion – all while keeping a sharp focus on the customer experience. You'll be the one deciding what to bet on next: scoping new instruments for energy buyers, designing predictive tools that change how Fortune 500 companies evaluate multi-million dollar clean energy investments, or defining product categories that don't exist yet in a market being reinvented in real time. This role sits at the intersection of energy markets, data engineering, and enterprise SaaS – ideal for someone who thrives on turning messy, manual data workflows into scalable product-led systems. Key Responsibilities Own the product vision and roadmap for Buyer Solutions, including Verse’s flagship Portfolio Insights product. Drive the automation strategy for data pipelines that are currently manual – including asset onboarding, invoice ingestion, model training, and telemetry data processing – partnering with Engineering and Data Science to define requirements and phased delivery. Lead the integration of real-time asset telemetry (SCADA, AVEVA/OSIsoft PI, developer APIs) and the expansion into European energy markets, defining the ETL infrastructure, market data integrations, and capture rate modeling required. Write detailed PRDs and conduct user research with energy managers, finance teams, and sustainability leads at Fortune 500 companies to translate complex customer workflows into clear product requirements. Work across Engineering, Data Science, Design, Commercial, and Customer Success to scope features, prioritize trade-offs, support enterprise onboarding, and ensure the platform delivers measurable value at scale. Monitor product performance through analytics, customer feedback, and operational metrics, iterating to improve data accuracy, reduce manual overhead, and increase platform reliability. What We're Looking For (Minimum Qualifications) 5+ years of product management experience in data-intensive or platform products, with demonstrated ownership of data pipeline requirements and strategy. Strong technical foundation: comfortable with system architecture, APIs, database design, and data modeling. You can read a system design doc, ask the right questions, and make informed trade-offs. Experience with technically complex platforms where data arrives from heterogeneous sources in inconsistent formats – real-time systems or IoT/telemetry.
