As a Manufacturing Associate within our mRNA vaccines production unit, you will operate at the intersection of advanced biomanufacturing and digital innovation. You will ensure the safe, compliant, and efficient execution of production activities while contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence. This is a hands-on, high-impact individual contributor role requiring technical precision, scientific thinking, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. Here's What You'll Do: Practice safe work habits and strictly adhere to Moderna’s safety procedures and guidelines Follow gowning procedures and maintain housekeeping standards to ensure a compliant and safe working environment Execute manufacturing operations in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), standard operating procedures, and manufacturing documentation Partner closely with Quality Assurance (QA) peers to ensure timely documentation closure and batch disposition for commercial products Participate in incident and deviation investigations, including root cause analysis (RCA), and support CAPA implementation Apply performance management tools and collaborate with team members to achieve operational KPIs aligned with corporate goals and commercial demand Rapidly respond to and troubleshoot routine equipment, process, and digital system issues within a highly automated manufacturing environment Proactively identify and escalate compliance, operational, or health and safety concerns to Team Leads or Supervisors Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records and associated documentation Perform routine basic maintenance activities, including lubrication, mechanical checks, and filter changes using appropriate hand tools Demonstrate flexibility to support off-hours work and overtime as required by production needs Contribute to multiple projects and continuous improvement initiatives within a dynamic, fast-paced environment Collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization Actively participate in digital and technological advancements, leveraging systems and tools to enhance manufacturing performance and innovation Bring a strong scientific mindset, attention to detail, and a rapid learning ability to adopt new mRNA technologies The key Moderna Mindsets you’ll need to succeed in the role: We act with urgency; Action today compounds the lives saved tomorrow.
