About the Role
In this role, you will perform imaging exams within your Limited Scope Radiographer license and in alignment with Core Exam Specifications . You’ll demonstrate competency through skills testing and ongoing competency review while working collaboratively with a dedicated care team to ensure safe, accurate, and compassionate imaging services.
What You’ll Do
Ensure accurate patient identification , order verification, and exam preparation
Provide clear, compassionate explanations to patients and families to ease anxiety and encourage cooperation
Perform high-quality radiologic exams while maintaining patient and staff safety
Follow established protocols for patient positioning, equipment operation, and radiation protection
Recognize and respond appropriately to emergent patient situations
Complete all required documentation thoroughly and accurately, including timestamps and image storage
Communicate effectively with other caregivers to coordinate patient care
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment

Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of anatomy and image evaluation
Safe and effective operation of imaging equipment
Understanding of contrast protocols and emergency response

Minimum Qualifications
Licensure as a Practical Radiologic Technologist / Limited Scope Operator in the state of practice OR
ARRT Board Registry Eligible per state requirements
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers
Demonstrated competency in at least one of the following areas:
Chest
Extremities
Spine
Skull
Podiatry

Physical Requirements
Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, assess patient needs, operate monitors, identify equipment and supplies.
Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations.
Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, medication preparation, etc.
Expected to lift and utilize full range of movement to transfer patients. Will also bend to retrieve, lift, and carry supplies and equipment. Typically includes items of varying weights, up to and including heavy items.
