This position is accountable for the provision of patient care and other activities as permitted by licensure and defined within Credentialing and Privileging documentation (hospital), Credentialing and Scope of Practice (Medical Group), Consultation and Referral Plan (DOPL) or other similar documentation as appropriate. As part of that patient care, this position is accountable to: deliver optimal patient care through effective clinical practice; education of the patient, patient's family, clinical staff, and others; consultation with other healthcare providers; and maintain current knowledge regarding options for optimal patient care and outcomes.

About this role:
As a Gastroenterology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant you will work with a team of healthcare professionals committed to providing quality care and excellent patient experience. In this role you will work with the care team made up of 4 Physicians and 4 APPs to develop comprehensive and effective care and treatment plans.
You will provide care to Gastroenterology patients at the McKay Dee Clinic with privileges at McKay Dee Hospital
You will work either (4) 10.0 hr. shifts or (5) 8.0 hr. shifts
This position includes up to $7,500 in relocation assistance based upon relocation distance
You will have 32 patient facing hours per week, and this position would be dedicated to inpatient & outpatient care with a primary focus being Advanced Therapeutic patients.
What you’ll bring:
APRN or PA-C degree from accredited program
Active, unobstructed Utah license
One year of prior APP experience, specifically in Gastroenterology and/or inpatient hospitalist experience, strongly preferred
Ability to successfully complete Intermountain Health’s credentialing process
BLS and active DEA license, required
