Job Description: ABOUT THE POSITION We are looking for a Senior Engineering Operations Engineer to drive Operational Excellence across BESS Hardware Engineering . This role will be responsible for end-to-end engineering deliverable tracking, improving execution rigor (Say/Do), driving productivity insights, and establishing quality KPIs across BOM, CAD, and Technical Documentation . The ideal candidate combines engineering understanding data analytics process excellence AI-driven insights . Key Responsibilities The Senior Engineering Operations Engineer will drive end-to-end operational excellence across BESS Hardware Engineering by owning engineering deliverable tracking for BOM (e-BOM/MBOM), CAD releases (3D, 2D, packaging, harness), and technical documentation, ensuring full alignment with Stage-Gate and NPI milestones through centralized dashboards leveraging Power BI, SharePoint, and PLM systems. The role will establish and drive execution discipline by defining and improving Say-Do metrics, leading weekly commitment vs delivery reviews, performing variance analysis, and driving accountability to achieve >90% execution reliability. Additionally, the role will develop workload and capacity models to enable data-driven resource planning, optimize utilization, and address demand-capacity gaps. A strong focus will be placed on defining and governing quality KPIs such as First Time Right (FTR) for BOM, CAD, and documentation, while reducing rework through root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. The individual will also enhance BOM and CAD release processes to ensure accuracy, completeness, and alignment between PLM (Windchill) and ERP systems, while supporting configuration management and Options & Variants strategies. Leveraging digital tools and AI, the role will enable proactive risk identification, automate reporting, and generate actionable insights using Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate. Finally, the position will lead operational excellence initiatives by establishing standard processes, governance frameworks, and leadership KPI reviews, while driving strong cross-functional alignment across Product Management, NPI Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Sustaining Engineering. What will our ideal candidate bring to Fluence? Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Bachelor’s / Master’s in Mechanical / Electrical / Industrial Engineering with 8-10 years of experience in R&D product development. Exposure to Hardware engineering environments Strong expertise in: Power BI (mandatory) , Excel (advanced) , Data modeling and visualization.
