Scopely is looking for a Design Director to join the GSN Casino team in Spain on a hybrid basis! What You’ll Do: As the Design Director, you will lead the creative vision and execution for GSN Casino, ensuring the game is engaging, innovative, and aligns with our strategic goals. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, you will oversee all aspects of game design, from concept to release and beyond. Collaborate with the General Manager, the Director of Product, and other senior leaders within the Casino Division to develop a strategy and roadmap for the games' development that aligns with the division’s business goals. Ensure the design team owns and drives a cohesive vision for the game’s look, feel, audio-visuals, and overall player experience. Research, document, and communicate competitive trends in casual games, the social casino industry, and real-money gaming. Develop a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, pushing the game studio to meet or exceed the experiences and production values of land-based casino games. Partner with the Analytics and Player Insights teams to A/B test features, game designs, and slot themes, optimizing for important metrics. Mentor and develop junior game designers, providing mentorship, feedback, and support to help them grow professionally. Develop and promote standards for both the player experience and the game design process. About You: Possess 10+ years of experience in designing and/or producing successful mass-market casual games, preferably with experience in the social casino market. Have experience in leading game design teams, demonstrating outstanding self-motivation and innovation. Exhibit creativity with an outstanding approach to addressing persistent challenges, contributing to existing products, and turning challenges into opportunities. Demonstrate outstanding communication skills, effectively bridging the gap between the business and creative aspects of the division. Capable of multitasking and leading multiple projects simultaneously. Able to translate ideas into actionable projects.
