Backend Software Engineer

Join Wix as a Backend Software Engineer and take part in building robust, scalable backend services that support our global platform. In your day-to-day, you will:  • Build and maintain scalable, reliable backend services  • Collaborate with teams to design and deliver features  • Integrate APIs, microservices, and third-party systems  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues  • Ensure code quality, performance, and stability • Experience in backend development (all levels considered)  • Proficiency in at least one backend language (Java, Scala, Node.js, Go, etc.)  • Knowledge of databases, microservice architecture, and API design  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and best practices  • Fluent in English with strong problem-solving and collaboration skills We are Wix's Backend Engineering Guild. We provide integrated tools for microservice development within Wix to help improve developer productivity and best practices. These tools streamline the development process and reduce cognitive load, allowing Wix Engineers to concentrate on their domain, architecture, and business logic. To handle high-scale traffic (over 500B HTTP requests per day) and 500+ daily deployments, our team of 500 Backend Engineers runs production across 19 distributed data centers and cloud vendors worldwide.
