Job Summary We are looking for a technically strong Engineering Manager to lead a cutting-edge backend team focused on Agentless Scanning within Cortex Cloud, Palo Alto Networks' next-generation cloud security platform. Based in our TLV office, you will lead the innovation and the development of the product. Our team's goal is to help Cortex Cloud customers understand and fix security issues in their workloads across all major cloud providers. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong can-do attitude and a passion for solving real customer problems. You should be a person who wishes and is able to work closely with the team and our partners across Cortex Cloud to make decisions and drive features end-to-end. Your Impact End-to-end backend development of features and core components across the software development life cycle (design, develop, test, deploy, maintain) As a Manager, independently drive and collaborate with others to deliver high impact features in the Agentless domain Work with customers and provide solutions to their day-to-day work and challenges Contribute to team-wide efforts - code reviews, design reviews, technical and architectural decisions Qualifications 4 years of proven experience managing and scaling software engineering teams. 5 years of proven strong background as a hands-on software engineer (prior to management) with deep expertise in modern backend languages. Experience in developing and maintaining cloud-native distributed software applications Experience in designing, building, and maintaining high-scale server-side applications Ability to comfortably drive features independently in close collaboration with other engineers Advantage: Experience with Kubernetes or container technologies Advantage: Knowledge in the cybersecurity space, cloud security in particular B.Sc. in computer science, equivalent knowledge, or equivalent military experience Our Commitment We’re trailblazers that dream big, take risks, and challenge cybersecurity’s status quo.
