Senior Software Developer Engineer in Test

The Team Role As a Sr. SDET, you will be working with a team of talented engineers to drive quality, be the voice of the customer and influence teams to build quality into every phase of the SDLC. You will have a broad understanding of the zuora ecosystem as well as in-depth knowledge of the area you support. You enjoy wearing multiple hats and thriving in a rapidly-changing, entrepreneurial environment. You have the capacity to be a significant contributor in building Zuora’s next generation product of Order, Billing, Payments, Finance, Revenue, and Platform. Our Tech Stack: Java, MySQL, Spring, Rest API, Microservices, Kafka, Spark, NodeJS, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, AngularJS What you’ll do Drive quality best practices and set the quality standards/bar using metrics Influence product quality by surfacing risks, trade-offs, impact to customers Technical capacity to develop tools, frameworks, test automation drive adoption of tools and frameworks Drive AI initiatives to optimise the quality processes at different levels Proficiency on adapting to AI driven tools Drive quality focused discussions (test plan reviews, bug triage, customer issues) Partner collaborate with customer facing groups to better understand how the product is used by customers Broad understanding of CI systems and ability to come up with improvements to drive efficiency Your experience Degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or relevant education/experience. 8+ years in software testing, test automation or test development role Proven experience with delivering high quality software products within a full development lifecycle Experience with and good understanding of OO programming and concepts, preferably Java. Has worked with automated tools and testing frameworks to optimize test case development and execution Good verbal written communication skills and demonstrates the ability to collaborate across teams and organizations. Good exposure to AI-driven tools Work well in an entrepreneurial, team environment and be willing to remain vocal with thoughts and ideas. Nice to haves Experience testing in a distributed system, service-oriented architecture or SaaS product is a big plus Experience with CI systems and tools and good understanding of test pipelines Strong grasp of various QA and SDLC methodologies. Experience with Agile Methodology is a plus.
