A Day in the Life
The Assembler III role at Medtronic’s Billerica (Affera) site supports production and quality operations involved in the assembly and inspection of catheter-based devices used in cardiac ablation procedures. Working across OP 50 or Quality Inspection, this position plays a critical role in building, verifying, and ensuring the quality of highly precise, regulated medical devices within a cleanroom environment.
The role requires strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to follow detailed work instructions, specifications, and inspection criteria. Team members contribute directly to patient safety by performing complex assembly, soldering, inspection, and documentation activities that uphold Medtronic’s quality and regulatory standards.

areas: OP 50, and
Quality
Inspection .
Schedule and Shift Differential:
Second shift hours: Monday - Friday , 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Second shift pay differential: $1.50 per hour
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in a controlled cleanroom environment.
Complete
accurate
documentation
per
GDP (Good Documentation Practices) standards.
Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
Ensure compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards
O ther responsibilities related to the assembly and quality of the product.
Assemble intricate medical devices using microscopes and precise tools and techniques.
Follow detailed work instructions, blueprints, and manufacturing procedures
Perform visual inspections using a microscope to ensure product quality .
Must Have: Minimum Qualifications
4 years
of relevant
work experience
in a manufacturing environment
Nice to Have: Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience assembling and/or soldering under a microscope.
Experience using a microscope for assembly or inspection.
Previous
experience in medical device manufacturing.
Familiarity with cleanroom protocols.
Knowledge of GDP (Good Documentation Practices) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices).
Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity for handling small components .
