A Day in the Life
The Global Facilities Response Center is an essential component within Medtronic's Global Facilities Operations organization. It acts as the heartbeat of our daily operations, intaking work requests, dispatching work orders, setting priorities, and scheduling tasks for our global facilities management and maintenance teams. The Response Center maintains smooth operations, offers consistent experience for our workforce, and addresses operational issues daily.
The Global Facilities Response Supervisor role is a process expert, possessing leadership competencies, basic business acumen, a champion of the Medtronic Mindset culture and a consistent driver of Operational Excellence. This supervisor will primarily act as a process lead with strategic responsibilities where he/she will execute deliverables in order to sustain a high-performing and motivating work culture in the Bogota Shared Service team.
This in-person role is based in Medtronic’s shared service center in Bogota, Columbia.
Key Responsibilities:
Supports the Response Center Manager in overseeing direct response to work requests, aligning with facility resources and dependencies
Assists with timely and consistent dispatch of work requests and facilities emergencies globally
Leads the Global Facilities Response team (Specialists) in the absence of the Manager, serving as the primary point of escalation during those periods
Maintains clear communication between requestors and facilities teams, ensuring continuity regardless of Manager availability
Monitors team performance against established KPIs and flags trends or concerns to the Manager
Supports on-site facilities staff with the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) as a day-to-day platform resource
Participates in and helps facilitate periodic table-top exercises for emergency facilities scenarios
Must Have:
Understands foundational supervisory approaches such as task delegation, work scheduling, prioritizing, and team coordination
Requires working knowledge of technical or operational practices within the assigned discipline
Requires solid knowledge of the job area, typically obtained through relevant experience or a combination of education and experience
Requires 1 years of experience in a facilities, operations, or related environment with a high school diploma or equivalent
Self-starter who can independently manage team priorities and maintain operations when the Manager is unavailable
Proficiency reading and analyzing dashboards
Nice to Have:
Task-oriented with a track record of delivering results against team goals
Strong communication skills with the ability to relay information clearly across requestors, staff, and management
Mindset of continuous process improvement and willingness to suggest operational enhancements
Proven work experience with a CMMS or similar project management system (i.e. eMaint, Maximo, MainSaver, Ultimo, Fieldware, Jira, Monday.com)
